How to access possible funding opportunities?

Federal grantees and other funders have traditionally supported professional development at the National Conference on Social Work and HIV/AIDS. If you have questions regarding funding support, please contact your program officer.

Additional Funding Resources: 

In addition to your existing grant funding, consider exploring community funding opportunities.


 1. Community Foundations 

  • Local or regional community foundations often provide grants for professional development.
  • Example: The Chicago Community Trust, The New York Community Trust


2. Nonprofit and Advocacy Organizations 

  • Organizations that focus on HIV/AIDS, social work, or public health may offer scholarships or funding.
  • Example: AIDS United, National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Foundation


3. Employer-Sponsored Professional Development Funds 

  • Many employers, especially nonprofits, hospitals, and social service agencies, allocate funds for employees to attend conferences.
  • Check with your HR or professional development department.


4. Stae and Local Governemnt Grants 

  • Some state and local agencies have workforce development or continuing education funds.
