In 2023, PASWHA developed a specialty practice credential in response to the expressed need of its members and to support PASWHA members in the competitive workplace.
The SOLHA credential recognizes Social Workers who have:
The SOLHA designates competency in the domains of Health, Mental Health, Person-In-Environment, and Health Equity.
SOLHA Courses qualify for continuing education through Collaborative Solutions.
Collaborative Solutions, Inc. (ACE Provider Approval #1548) is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program.
For Individual PASWHA members, SOLHA costs $350 ($200 recertification).
For Individual non-PASWHA members, SOLHA costs $450 ($250 recertification).
PASWHA Organizational Leaders (budgets <$1 million), you will receive 35% off certification cost and 10% off re-certification.
PASWHA Community Champions (budgets > $1 million), you will receive 25% off certification cost and 10% off re-certification.
1. Register & Purchase SOLHA Certification online courses:
2. Attend the required 5 Foundational (101) SOLHA courses offered at PASWHA’s National Conference on Social Work in HIV/AIDS (NCSWH) in 2024 or 2025
3. Attend the two 102 courses offered at PAWHA’s Fall Learning Lab (dates TBD)
4. Attend the two 102 courses offered in PASWHA’s Spring Learning Lab (dates TBD)
5. Complete Online Learning component for each course attended
6. Once each course and online component is complete (and passed!) you will get your official certification!
How long will it take to complete SOLHA certification?
SOLHA certification can be completed within 12 months by attending the National Social Work Conference on HIV/AIDS (NCSWH) and attending PASWHA’s Spring and Fall Learning Labs via webinar.
How do I recertify SOLHA?
SOLHA recertification must be completed within 24 months of the original certification date. Once SOLHA Certified, you can re-certify every two years when you complete 4 advanced courses available Fall/Spring online or at the National Conference on Social Work in HIV/AIDS (NCSWH).
